About Me

about me

I have always had an interest in history and a love of craftwork. After receiving my degree in Anthropology, I went to work for Ann Lewis Jewelry, where I was employed as a production jewelry maker for 20 years before branching out on my own.

My combined interests in jewelry making and ancient history have led me to create a unique line of handcrafted jewelry, inspired by the artifacts of Ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Classical Greece, Rome and early Medieval Europe. Combining vintage, recycled and handmade trade beads, I create necklaces and earrings in an ancient style that actually look like ancient artifacts. Along with the old, recycled and handmade beads, I use non-toxic patinas to create findings that give my jewelry an ancient appearance.

I like to use glass, pewter and brass as much as gemstones and precious metals, and many of my pieces are modeled after jewelry worn by ordinary people of the ancient world, not just the gold and precious gems worn by royalty.

All of the jewelry that appears on this website is designed and made by me at my studio in Sonoma County, California.
