About Me

I have always had an interest in history and a love of craftwork.
After receiving my degree in Anthropology, I went to work for Ann Lewis Jewelry, where I was employed for 20 years before branching
out on my own.
My combined interests in jewelry making and ancient history have
led me to create a unique line of handcrafted jewelry, inspired by
ancient artifacts. I design and fabricate historical reproduction
jewelry, taking inspiration from the art, technology and spirit
of ancient Egyptian, Near Eastern, Mediterranean and early European cultures as well as Pre-Columbian cultures of the Americas.
My designs incorporate an eclectic mix of old glass and metal trade
beads, vintage beads, gemstones and ethnic pendants, to create my unique
style of beaded jewelry.
Over the past several years I have also developed a love for vintage jewelry, both as a collector and as a repair/restoration assistant to Caryn Naiditch of Earthly Adornments. Her expertise and her wonderful collection of vintage jewelry and accessories has provided me with invaluable experience and has been an inspiration for me to add a vintage jewelry section to my own jewelry website.
All of the handcrafted jewelry that appears on this website is fabricated by me at my studio
in Sonoma County, California.
